Vortex vortex tubes are made of stainless steel. Generators and valves are made of brass. This enables a wide range of applications and a long service life. Most competitor pipes only have plastic generators. Vortex vortex tubes are therefore particularly suitable for use at high temperatures and therefore require no additional investment. The temperatures generated can range from -46ºC to + 127ºC. The design and material quality of Vortex vortex tubes guarantee long-term reliable results without maintenance. Vortex vortex tubes work with a standard compressed air supply. The air entering the vortex tube is split into two air streams: cold air comes from one end of the tube and hot air from the other. The vortex tube has an adjustable valve at the “hot” end, which regulates the volume and temperature of the air flowing out on the cold side. This adjusts the “cold fraction”, i.e. the percentage of compressed air that exits at the cold end of the tube. There are different generator models for different compressed air outputs. We recommend an air pressure of 7 bar.
