Rigid valve guide reamer with hexagon socket
The use of valve guide reamers has a significant influence on the performance, reliability and environmental friendliness of an internal combustion engine. Thanks to the precise machining of the valve guides, they improve sealing, reduce wear and friction, increase engine performance and contribute to a reduction in emissions.
Our rigid valve guide reamers are made of high quality HSS/E steel with ISO fit H7. They are spiral-grooved and have a long guide piece at the lower end, while a hexagon socket is fitted at the upper end instead of the usual square (except for sizes < 4.5 mm). This allows the reamer to be removed from the lower end of the guide – it does not have to be moved backwards. With a hexagonal rod, the reamer can be operated by a slow-running hand drill.
This process is much faster and more reliable than operating the reamer by hand with a turning tool.
