Disk brushes with knotted wire (medium – normal twist) consist of tufts that are twisted to about 2/3 of their length for a more robust and aggressive cutting action. The tufts of these brushes absorb vibrations, which helps to reduce wire fatigue. They are used where a strong brushing action is required.
