The LBM950 camshaft boring machine enables the machining of housing bores in both camshaft cylinder heads and crankshaft blocks of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. The innovative chrome rod drive system combines the two drilling feed and rotation movements and consists of a linear ball bearing unit that ensures smooth and precise movement. In addition, it has a belt drive that enables controlled rotation of the bar tool holder. All operations related to the boring bar, such as manual movements, setting of working parameters and automatic cycles, are managed via a touch screen panel which, combined with an electronic handwheel, makes using the LBM950 extremely intuitive, simple and very productive. The boring bar is held by three sturdy, movable arms that provide great support during machining, while perfect and fast centering of the workpiece is made possible thanks to the fine adjustment knobs, both in height and in transverse movement. This is further supported by centering devices with dial gauges. This versatile and useful device simplifies and speeds up the clamping process for all types of cylinder heads and blocks.
