Oil and gas industry

Our Flex-Hone® tools and industrial abrasive brushes are used in the oil and gas industry for cleaning and maintaining pipes, pumps, valves, hydraulic cylinders and diesel engines. Equipment in the oil and gas industry such as valves and pumps require regular maintenance to remove clay, sludge, rust and corrosion. The Flex-Hone® tool is self-centering and self-aligning to the bore and uses a low-temperature, low-grinding process to clean the metal surfaces.

Flex-Hone® can also be used to maintain critical tolerances in the hydraulic cylinders used in pumps in petrochemical plants and chemical processing plants. In the large engines that drive pumps for the operation of natural gas pipelines, the tool is used for quenching, reworking and cross-hatching the cylinder walls during engine overhauls. Our abrasive nylon brushes are the right choice for cleaning and deburring threads.
