NamPower Brushes: Lightweight Tool Holders Improve Vibration Damping

The weight of the tool holder not only affects spindle vibrations and bearing wear. For disc brushes, lighter tool holders reduce brush vibrations, improve performance, and extend brush life. For this reason, we are pleased to introduce new, lightweight tool holders with integrated coolant channels for the NamPower disc brush series.

New NamPower Accessories
These lightweight NamPower accessories are made from a carbon fiber-reinforced, thermoplastic material bonded to a hardened and ground steel shank. The lightweight holders, which are better balanced, have the same 25 mm shank as our standard tool holders and are specifically designed for use with NamPower’s unique coolant flow system.

Coolant Flow Technology
Unlike other disc brushes, NamPower technology allows fluid to flow through the center of the brush, rather than just providing lubrication from the outside. The result is improved cutting performance and extended tool life. In many industries, such as automotive and home appliance manufacturing, NamPower brushes are already improving machining quality and accelerating workflows.

The lightweight tool holders are available with diameters of 100 mm, 125 mm, or 150 mm and cutting lengths of 18 mm or 38 mm.

Disc Brush Types
When ordering lightweight NamPower tool holders, please note that Dot and Turbine brush types are listed separately. “Dot-Style” disc brushes are intended for general deburring and surface finishing applications. “Turbine Style” disc brushes are used for medium and heavy deburring tasks.
